Introducing Marvin the app.

(When I started preparing this post Marvin was free. I felt it was so good that it was amazing it was free– how could this be?  But no longer – with the upgrade to Marvin 2.0 there is now a cost but if you read a lot of DRM free books you might find it worthwhile.)

Marvin is anew eBook reader app for your iPad (or iPhone) that opens DRM-free EPUB 2.0 books. Margins, indents, paragraph and line spaces are customisable, not to mention fonts and colours (text and background). The many options allow you to customise your page into the form that best suits you.

Loading books from Project Gutenberg for instance is done in a moment. The blog features really helpful notes, tutorials and advice to get started.

If you have a collection of DRM-free books you’ll love it. It’s become my eBook reader of choice. TS

Update 23/11/13: There have been some changes to the pricing and structure of the Marvin App since this post was written. Read this blog post for more information.
