Heartbeat of Africa

Asanti Dance Theatre taught the children at Watsonia Library the thumping tradition of drumming. Shaba and Cofi filled the air with the rhythms of Africa with the occasional mention of other countries. To ease the pain of well-played palms, Shaba taught the families how to dance. The end of the school holiday program finished with a talk about growing up in Ghana. A fantastic night of jiving and family unity.
