Digitise your Vinyl Records and Tapes

Are you an audiophile who still owns a vast collection of vinyl records?

A great number of people have recently found themselves in the same predicament: they have this wonderful new iPod, but the majority of their personal music collection is trapped in the grooves of their vinyl records and on the magnetic tape of their cassettes, and not on the hard drive of their computers. To help with this dilemma, we can provide a turntable, tape player, iTunes, PCs and assistance for you at Ivanhoe Library. Make a booking, bring along a favourite vinyl record or tape, lots of enthusiasm and allow some time to play.

It's a great way to preserve older recordings and add them to your favourite playlists on your iPod or MP3 player.

Andrew gave it a go and now has a digital version of his “Canned Heat” album to play in the car CD player.
