Children’s Book Week 2018

Saturday 18 August - Friday 24 August 2018

Every year in August, schools, libraries and bookshops across Australia celebrate Children's Book Week with fun events, book displays, character dress-ups, crafts, treasure hunts and other book-themed children's activities.

Children's Book Week is a celebration of all things children's literature, and is kicked off with the announcement of the Children's Book Council of Australia's annual Book of the Year award.

The Children's Book Council of Australia has shortlisted the year's best Australian books for children.

Winners will be announced on Friday 17th August, but in the meantime you can borrow any of these shortlisted titles from the library.
