Books for all – Worldreader

Their Mission - To unlock the potential of millions of children through the use of digital books in places where access to reading materials is very limited

Worldreader is a global non-profit organization that provides access to eBooks to children and families in the developing world using e-reader and mobile phone technology. (Phones? How does that work?)
Worldreader works with donors, organizations, communities and governments to develop and digitize local and international books. By May 2013, Worldreader had put over 609,000 e-books into the hands of 13,000 children in sub-Saharan Africa.
Children and families in the program have access to materials ranging from local African textbooks and story-books, world newspapers, and classic literature.
