Booklists to assist with Click & Collect

From today you can pop in to seven of our branches to browse the collection (for up to one hour) and borrow new items. Opening hours do vary from branch to branch so make sure you check out this blog post for more details.

If you aren't quite ready to take advantage of branches reopening and prefer to keep your visit short and sweet, you can still use our Click & Collect service. To access Click & Collect, all you need to do is place your holds online and select the branch you want to pick your items up from. Once the items are available, you will be notified by email or SMS that they are ready to be picked up.

It can be hard to know what to select when you can't browse books on the shelf, so we thought we would point you to some booklists to help you pick out some perfect reads. And don't forget that if inspiration doesn't strike, our librarians would be happy to put together a Family Fun Bundle and do all the hard work for you!

Have you been listening to our reading recommendations podcast In the Good Books? If not, you're missing out on a great resource to help find great books from our collection. From short story collections for adults, crime reads you can't put down and the perfect books for eight-year-old reluctant readers, there's something for everyone on these lists.

In Episode One reader Emily told us she loved authors Nora Ephron and Stella Gibbons, or books like The Dark Tower by Stephen King. She also loves cookbooks and books about people who have lived interesting lives. Does this sound like you? You might enjoy this list of reading recommendations we made for her including authors such as Patrick de Witt and Ruth Ware.
