There will definitely be a good read for everyone here as they range from the creepy thriller to fun fiction, ambitious memoirs and the top children’s pick so far this year.

Have you read any of these titles yet?

City of Girls

Described as a champagne cocktail of a book this is a fun read that is big-hearted and wise.

The Silent Patient

This is the debut literary thriller of 2019 with a very twisty ending and has definitely gone on to my To Be Read list, hope it makes it to yours.

Once More We Saw the Stars

Facing unimaginable tragedy the only way out of immense grief is to go through it. This is an emotional memoir that puts words to grief and will help you face yours.

Mrs. Everything

A multi-layered story for the #MeToo era this tale of two sisters traces how far women have come and how far we still have to go.

The Night Tiger

Described as supple and powerful this is a great and sweeping story of Malaysia in the 1930’s told through the eyes of a strong minded apprentice dressmaker and a young houseboy as they both search for an unlucky mummified finger.

Daisy Jones & the Six

Totally readable and will having you believing this band really existed.  Very appealing to everyone even if you are not a reader.  Tip – the Large Print version is available.

If you are interested in a more informative read then this one of a kind book will have you exploring the earth beneath your feet.  The author did all of his research on his own and you can deep dive into catacombs, caves and other dark underworlds.

The Unwinding of the Miracle

This memoir speaks to one of our greatest fears, being diagnosed with a terminal disease and how to live each day honestly and fully, even though our dying is way before we are ready.

Cari Mora

This is a gruesome thriller and Harris definitely knows how to get under our skin and into our heads.  The Amazon editor loved this so much they read it twice!

The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise

This is one for the kids and is the top pick for 9-12 year old readers so far this year by the Amazon editors.
