the Library |

Membership is
free and open to everyone.
You can join the library at any of our eight branches
and our mobile library, or online via the website
Please bring with you some current form of identification
like a driver's licence, rate notice or a telephone
account, or anything that has both name and address
details.
There is no minimum joining age, but if you are under
18, some form of ID from a parent/guardian as well as
their signature is needed
We have extensive collections for adults and children

Our collection
includes Books, Magazines, Newspapers, Large print books,
Audio books, Videos, CDs, DVDs, Multimedia Kits, Cassettes,
Books and Kits for learning English and other languages,
Ebooks, Ejournals, Databases, reference collections
and Local history collections

library users wishing to use the library online,
we provide 24 hour remote access to our library resources
and services via the website |

| Borrowing |
|
How many items can I borrow?
• You may borrow up to 30 items, which may
include 10 of each category of AV material.
How long can I have library
materials?
• The loan period is 3 weeks for all items.
Where can I return my library
items?
• You can return items at any library branch
or the mobile library.
We also have return chutes at our branches to allow
you to return items when the library is closed.
What if I haven't finished with
my library materials?
• Items are able to be renewed twice provided
they have not been requested by someone else.
Items can be renewed at the library, by phone on 9408
8521 or via the Internet.

| Overdue
Fines |
|
There are fines of 20 cents per item, per day on overdue
library items
If you have registered an email address with us, coutesy
email is sent to you 2 days prior to your items becoming
overdue
Overdue notices are sent 10 days after the item is due.
If overdue fines must be paid within 40 days of the
item being returned. If the fine is not paid within
theis time, you card becomes blocked and cannot be used.
Library materials may not be issued if library fines
exceed $15.00

| Lost
Library items |
If you lose an item you have borrowed you
must pay for it to be replaced
Replacement fee is the cost of the item plus GST.
Payment for lost items can either be made at a branch
library, mobile library or by contacting the Circulation
Support Department on 9401 0750. |

Library Card |
If you think you have lost your library
card, or it has been stolen notify your nearest library
branch as soon as possible.
Replacement cards are available at all libraries for $2.00.

| Inter-Library
loans Service |
If a book you need is not available from
the Yarra Plenty Library catalogue, you can request a
copy via the Inter-library loans service. This service
enable you to borrow from other library collections throught
Australia
