You can place a hold on a library item that:

• you would like to borrow but all the copies are out. (You will be placed in the queue.)
• is located at another YPRL location and you want it sent to your library.

You can place a hold:

• directly from the library Catalogue.  Just look for the Place a Hold button. 
• by calling your Library.
• or by asking at your library.

The library will contact you when your hold is ready for pick-up.  There is no charge for placing a hold and you can have up to 6 items on hold at any one time. 

You can track your holds from the My Borrowing section of the catalogue.  You can also suspend and cancel your holds there.  The below image depicts a users Holds section.
