Clarivue, which now houses the Ivanhoe RSL. was built for Fitzroy timber merchant Wallace Stone by builder John W. Brown in 1913-14. It was sold to Robert A. Tregowan of Ramsay & Tregowan (oil & grease merchants) in 1936.
