The next walk of the Eltham District Historical Society is a walk to "Killeavey" “Killeavey” was the home of Sir William Irvine, Victorian and Federal Parliamentarian and Supreme Court Judge. Later it was the home of his daughter Beatrice Morrison, a significant personality in the Eltham community. Victorian Veterans Virtual Museum

The Victorian Veterans Virtual Museum has recently been launched. This website contains a number of new resources including: Victorian War Heritage Inventory The Victorian War Heritage Inventory was developed in partnership with Heritage Victoria. On this Day - Eltham Library opened

On August 17, 1971, the Premier of Victoria - The Hon. R. J. Hamer opened the original Eltham Library in Main Road Eltham. The Library formed part of the Shire of Eltham Shire Offices building. Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program

The National Library of Australia is pleased to announce the newspapers that are scheduled to be digitised through the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program over the coming year: Through Trove, the national resource discovery service, there is free online access to over 5 million pages from over 130 Australian newspapers.
