The next walk of the Eltham District Historical Society is a walk to "Killeavey" “Killeavey” was the home of Sir William Irvine, Victorian and Federal Parliamentarian and Supreme Court Judge. Later it was the home of his daughter Beatrice Morrison, a significant personality in the Eltham community. On August 17, 1971, the Premier of Victoria - The Hon. R. J. Hamer opened the original Eltham Library in Main Road Eltham. The Library formed part of the Shire of Eltham Shire Offices building.
