A researcher is seeking information on the property, formerly known as Brae's Farm now known as 60 Cravens Road, Mernda. (It was also known as Black Braes Farm). The property was purchased by George Earle as Lots 456-60 of Separation in 1854. (He may have later bought additional lots.) Newspapers are a wonderful source for information for local history researchers. They will often have an obscure piece of information not found anywhere else. Yarra Plenty Regional Library holds local newspapers in each of our local history collections. The Nillumbik Women's Network are calling for nominations for its third and final editon of the "Celebrating Nillumbik women" publication. Nominations close on February 12. Further details and nomination forms are on the Nillumbik Shire Council website

Clarivue, which now houses the Ivanhoe RSL. was built for Fitzroy timber merchant Wallace Stone by builder John W. Brown in 1913-14. It was sold to Robert A. Tregowan of Ramsay & Tregowan (oil & grease merchants) in 1936.
