Mission Statement
The mission of the Whittlesea Local History Collection is to collect,
preserve and educate through a collection of material which reflects
the history of those living within the boundaries of the City of
Whittlesea.
Donation to the Local History Collection is an ideal way to preserve
the history of the region for the future. The Local History Collection
is housed in archival conditions. This not only assists their longevity,
but acts as a model for others to follow in their own family or
local history collection.
Due to the nature of the collection, the Local History Collection
is not on open access. Materials may be accessed via the Internet,
or by presenting a library card (or alternate identification) to
a library staff member.
