
The library branches are being transformed into love hot spots this Valentine’s Day, with events that make them the perfect destination for both romantics and book lovers.
Visitors to Thomastown Library will be able to get a free love ‘reading’ from Feng Shui expert Sally Fischmann on Thursday 9 February from 10.30am – 11.30am. Sally will also reveal how to arrange flowers at home to attract love.
It’s not the only way the library branches are helping people prepare for love. Professional graphologist Maxine Bennett will unveil how to understand handwriting to ‘rate your mate before you date’ at Mill Park Library on Wednesday 15 February, 7.00pm – 8.30pm.
Bennett is also author of humorous book Personal Columns: A true and funny story of one woman’s 30-year search for her perfect match. Hear her entertaining stories at Mill Park Library on Monday 13 February. 7.00pm – 8.00pm.
Lalor Library is inviting people to create a love song compilation CD for Valentine’s Day using YPRL’s music download service Freegal. Visitors can learn how on Monday 6 February from 7.00pm to 8.00pm.
Diamond Valley is inviting book lovers to bring along their favourite book to share on Tuesday 14 February from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Enjoy refreshments while chatting about the books you love. (Make a booking here)
People can also drop into any YPRL branch to pick up a free Valentine’s chocolate heart (while stocks last), and special Valentine's book recommendations. Pick up a mystery book package at Diamond Valley library on the 14th.
