By using the Yarra Plenty Regional Library's free wireless
(WiFi) service, you accept all of the following conditions:
Access is only available via a Yarra Plenty library membership
card. Membership is free; joining facilities are available
in all branches and online via the Yarra Plenty webpage.
WiFi access is only available during normal library operating
hours.
Each computer is unique, and the Library is not able to offer
personal technical assistance with the configuration of your
equipment. We do, however, provide some tips for setup and
common problems on troubleshooting for common devices via
our website.
For problems or devices other than those listed on the troubleshooting
page, please consult your user's manual or contact your hardware
or software provider.
The Library cannot be responsible for any changes you may
make to your computer's settings and strongly recommends that
you make a note of any settings before you change them.
The Library's WiFi network provides for web browsing. The
Library reserves the right to restrict access to certain file
types and download sizes. The Library's online databases,
and online web services are available through this service,
however
CD-ROMs are not available.
Information sent to and from your laptop via wireless means
may be captured by anyone with a wireless receiver. Please
keep this in mind when accessing personal or business information.
All WiFi traffic, once it is within the Library's wide area
network, is however higly secured, and encrypted. Anti-virus,
security and privacy protection is the responsibility of the
user.
Under no circumstances shall Yarra Plenty Regional Library
or individual staff members be liable for any direct, indirect,
incidental, exemplary or consequential damages, including
but not limited to, loss of data, use or profits, or interruption,
or safety of equipment, however caused and on any theory of
liability - including negligence or otherwise - arising in
any way out of the use of the WiFi service, even if advised
of the possibility of such damage.
